Family and Community Involvement
• Communication
When educators communicate with stakeholders, they seek and find lasting
partnerships. I have experience in creating and maintaining school websites
and newsletters. I have served on the Chicago Public Schools’ advisory
committee for its IMPACT suite include its Parent and Student Portal to
allow families to obtain real-time information on student attendance and
academic performance.
• Partnerships
I understand to value of creating partnership with outside organizations
that contribute to achieving the schools’ vision and mission.
• Community Investment
The school and the community can serve one another in a mutually beneficial
capacity. I have developed and implemented plans to expand expectations
to serve the larger school community to initiating service learning requirements
at the elementary school level.
