Instruction

• Instructional Vision

I have experience in developing a shared vision for quality instruction. I have found that stakeholder need daily reminders of the established vision to assure continued commitment to its implement. Embedding elements of vision a classroom's sign is one way to communicate that a vision for learning is lived daily.

• High-Quality Content

Access to high-quality content is rooted in learning standards. As educators we adapt to accessing learning standards including movement to the Common Core Standards. From the standards we use tools including textbooks, trade books, and media resources to meet instructional needs. Staff need to have an awareness of available tools and need to be able to effectively evaluate the instructional tools. I have experience in adapting and creating tools for collaborative evaluation of potential content.

• Data-Driven Improvement

When educators link taught content and learning standards to assessment, students benefit from more targeted instructional practices. I have experience in adapting and creating tools for data triangulation to enable reflection on available data for instructional improvements. Additionally, understanding the big picture can enable stakeholder to analyze details from a global perspective.
