Instructional Leadership

• Goal Setting

Goal setting must be specific and quantitative to be effective. One strategy that I have implemented to encourage staff to target specific students, based on data, to move to higher performance levels. This goal setting can drive discussions about lesson planning, instructional delivery and formative assessment practices. This strategy can also be for behavioral or academic Response to Intervention (RtI).

• Resource Management

Resource management in the school setting is rooted in the School Improvement Planning process. When the process for school improvement planning is genuinely valued and is collaborative, resource management is facilitated.

• Shared Leadership

Shared leadership is embodied in every day interactions. I have experience in communicating expectations for all stakeholders. I also have experience allowing colleagues to take a lead as I play a supportive or contributive role.
